I work for 16 years as a (job)coach in re-integration, especially with persons with psychological disabilities and persons who have experienced loss. I recently educated to e-coach, level 2. I have a degree as a coach, jobcoach and also am trained in grief counseling.

Introduction

In my job as a coach I guide clients with a distance to the labour market due to psychological and/or social disabilities, to competitive employment. Clients who, at first, are not able to seek and maintain their jobs. Further, I teach the course 'On your way to employment' (Op weg naar werk): an intensive course in examining the labour market and develop appliciation skills.

Process

I am trained in and use the methods IPS: Individual Placement and Support and IVB: Individual Demand-oriented Approach. I describe myself as a passenger in the car of the client: I ask where he/she wants to go, and what he/she needs to get there and I follow the developments. The client and I work together to turn disabilities into strengths.
